CRAZIES IN NAPIER - 15 June 2026
Hey whฤnau! Pretty chill week this week! Me and my comp are still kinda just trying to get to know the area which is kinda boring and we lowk like don’t have any friends we're teaching so it’s felt slow ๐ but hopefully we find some keen people soon! One thing about this area is that it’s literally aged. Everyone here is elderly. ๐ต๐ต But honestly if I were old and retired, I'd live in Napier. It’s beautiful here! I love driving and seeing all the farm land around with TONS of sheep ๐๐ and also being so close to the beach ๐๐
We had zone conference this week!!! It was President and Sister Clark’s last zone conference with us before we get our new president ๐๐๐๐ actually so depressed I am going to miss them so much. I had my last interview with president and he was making me teary eyed ๐ฅฒ he’s the best. We sang a song for them as a zone and it was so presh! I honestly think it was my favorite zone conference by far! Everything that was shared was SO good! Our zone is also so goated and it makes it so fun! We get to have another zone conference this transfer when the new president comes in so I'm so stoked!
I finished the Book of Mormon again for the 2nd time!!! It’s genuinely the best book ever! I can’t begin to explain the beauty and the joy that comes from it! We met this guy who is a devoted catholic and we talked with him for prolly over an hour about our church and what we believe and we were just going back and forth. It was super respectful and out of genuine interest but me and my comp would just continue to testify of the Book of Mormon and the power it has in our lives. We ended up giving him a Book of Mormon and he said he'd read it with interest! I hope that he really does and that it touches his heart. Our conversation really strengthened my own testimony of our church. I’m so grateful for the restoration of our church and the priesthood keys that give meaning to everything we do!
Some exciting things in napier this week:
-had a lesson w a girl who got an eyebrow transplant?
-another one who said she couldn't leave her house?...she’s on parole and has an ankle monitor ๐น๐น
-cleaned this lady's house cause they are moving soon...it was THE MOST NASTY EVER. I genuinely felt sick after. We cleaned the kitchen and the bathroom...๐ฅด๐คข๐คฎ
I love meeting crazy people it’s hilarious ๐
I was reminded of a talk that I love at zone conference from Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf called "Our Heartfelt All" and it’s so good everyone needs to go read! But he talks a lot about sacrifice and consecration! I love when he says "It requires letting some things go and letting other things grow." Following the law of sacrifice isnt just giving something up. Everyone sacrifices things in their lives but we have to have a purpose behind it. It should be a sacrifice that grows us closer to Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. As a missionary, we sacrifice our lives back home to be a missionary and to not only help others grow in their testimony, but to grow our own understanding and testimony! ๐ฉท๐ฉท๐ฉท
Anyways love y’all have a great week ๐ค๐ค
