HOLY PRISON 🥲😇 - 20 January 2026
Hey y’all!!!! Another week down in the MTC! Last email was lowkey depressing I apologize but this week was great!! However I can't wait to get out in the field lol. Our MTC president said that someone called this place a holy prison. Hate to say that's exactly what this is. Literally just stuck at this place secluded from the outside world haha. Anyways here's my week!
Last Tuesday (pday): talked to my family and that's really all I needed. Miss them so much. But that definitely pushed me through! We had a devotional later that night and it mentioned that destruction is hard but is what then is built after that is important. When things are hard and we have "destruction" in our life we have to remember the growth that comes from it.
Wednesday: TEMPLE DAY!!! got to do baptisms, confirmations, and initiatories and it was so great to be there wow its the best! There was an elderly guy that started talking to me and my comp while waiting and he shared a miracle that another temple president had shared with him before. It's a long story otherwise I'd go into detail but just know it was great. 😆😆 He then just mentioned that the Lord is so proud of us and the fact we even just decided to serve and have made it out here is amazing. So tender. After temple just had normal rest of the day with classes and stuff.
Thursday, Friday, Saturday: genuinely all the days are the same and mush together, we have classes just all the time and are busy all day. It's great and I learn a lot but I'm excited to leave 😹😹😹 My district is so awesome though I really am so blessed. There have been so many tender mercies that just remind me how much the Lord is aware 🥲🥰
Sunday: Sundays are honestly just like very prolonged Sacrament meetings all day hahaha. But it’s great!!! I got called up to speak this Sunday. Told yall I knew I would. 😵💫😵💫 But it was chill. The topic was The Plan of Salvation and I just talked about our life on earth. Hopefully it was good, honestly was a blur. But we had singing time again. Such a highlight for real. Probably will be the one of the only things I miss in the MTC 🙃🙃
Me and my comp yesterday got asked to give the lesson in relief society next week so I’ll have to let you all know how that goes. Temple again tomorrow and we are doing endowments and sealings YAY!! The girls I flew with I've become such good friends with, we literally just sit and gossip and trauma dump, I love it. Will miss them lots when we leave but we got ourselves a group chat so we'll keep in touch 🫡🫡 Hopefully we all cross paths out in the field!
That's pretty much it for the week! OH ALSO I told yall last week I was at Alma in the Book of Mormon...well now I'm in Mormon 😛😛😛 Sooooo hopefully next week I’ll have finished it I'm literally at the last stretch!!! Honestly did not think I could do it but here I am!!
