BROWN HYMN BOOK 🎡🎡🎡 - 29 June 2026

Hey y'all! This week was pretty chill! Crazy we only have like 2 weeks left of this transfer it FLEW! and I literally feel like we are still getting to know the area lol.

This week we had so much rainπŸŒ§πŸ˜‘ and lowkey we still are just trying to find friends which has been pretty hard and frustrating but just praying for some miracles! We actually had a lesson with a new friend Daniel! He actually called us a couple weeks ago and I don't even know how he got our number but he was so keen. Hes an absolute chiller the lesson was so interesting. He would just make the most random comments it had me dying. But we taught him the restoration and it felt so good to finally teach a lesson ☺️☺️

On Wednesday, we got asked by one of the sisters in Relief Society if we could take over the lesson for Sunday because she actually couldn't make it anymore. We accepted the offer but it ended up being probably the biggest mistake...We planned the lesson and we felt pretty good about it but let's just say this one old lady was not vibing with some things we did and absolutely tore us DOWN in the lesson. Bro I was so upset. We moved on and the end of the lesson I feel like was really good. But THEN after we were done she came up to us and said thanks for the lesson and apologized but then CONTINUED to trash us and share what she didn't like. My blood was boiling and I had to decompress after church. I definitely could be more loving and less angry about it but it really made me so upset and we were thrown into doing the lesson only a few days before 😭😭 never again bro.

Anyways, later that evening we had the Brown Hymn Book Devotional which was this choir group traveling around New Zealand. 🎡🎡🎡 They were insane! Like wow SO talented and so spirit filled. Def what I needed after my day in relief society 🫩 But also one of our friends came!!!! I hope she enjoyed it! Ugh it was so good I wish I could sing...

Oh also we met a murderer this week...basically there's a red do not contact in a household with this member and we didn't know why but we went to visit this member and had a little lesson with her. Then when we were leaving we met him and talked to him for a bit then we left. Well it turns out he’s actually a murderer and we arent supposed to go to her house because of that oops. Shes lives in the outskirts like super far in the mountains. Bad vibes all around won’t be going back πŸ™…πŸΌ‍♀️πŸ™…πŸΌ‍♀️

Shoutout Xiamei back in Wellington! She was baptized!!! So soooo happy for her and so blessed I was apart of her journey! Missin my friends back in wellys fr πŸ˜ͺ

The talk we went through in Relief Society was A Peculiar Treasure by Alan R. Walker and it’s such a good talk and I love when he says:

"becoming the Lord’s treasure and receiving His divine acceptance are not something casual or accidental. They require patient effort, faithful persistence, and sacrifice. We must be willing to lay aside lesser things—habits, ambitions, or comforts that distance our hearts from Him—so that we may offer ourselves wholly and without reservation."

The talk says to become the Lords peculiar treasure we have to obey His voice and keep our covenants. But like this quote says, it takes faith, effort, and sacrifice. Its a continuous "pattern of application" that is lifelong. We don't just make covenants and end there. We have to continue in faith and strive to keep and honor those covenants to receive blessings and grow closer and closer to Him!

Love y'all email me!! 😽😽😽
