DROVE A VAN OFF A CLIFF?? - 9 February 2026
Wassup yall!! What a fire week its been...lots of interesting moments but fire nonetheless π
Tuesday: had our mission devo then weekly planned like forever! We also made some cookies and went to drop some off at the apes...they never got them. We got the wrong flat... Anyways had an interview with pres which was so good I love him!! Gave him some cookies too!! π
Wednesday: highlight of this day was driving and next to us was a man who kept staring and continued to stare at us everytime we would pull up next to him. He then threw up a lil 6-7 for us... I then held up the book of mormon for him. Seed planted?? ππ↕️
Thursday: made BOMB smoothie bowls then had district council! Lots of funny moments in district council that unfortunately cannot be shared. After that we came home and decided to make homemade tortillas? Also bomb. HUGE spider came crawling into our flat...near died. π΅π« Had some lessons and I actually spoke haha!! Making progress π
We had a lesson with Marshall again who's a recent convert and he's usually there before us but this time when we showed up he texted us that he'd be a few minutes late. When he got there he said "sorry I just got in an accident". HELLO? literally 5 minutes before and still showed up...THEN he said he's had worse and proceeds to tell us about how one time he was driving his van that he was living in and was turning on the edge of a cliff and literally drove it off the cliff!!! He said he quickly jumped out while his whole life fell off the edge!!! I don't think I've ever met anyone like Marshall in my entire life. He's such a king π
Friday: Had some lessons today and shoot I was saying some mighty greenie things. In the middle of our lesson with niko, I was speaking and then Sister Hunter turned to me and said "bars." Shoot even niko was nodding too π€ We had a referral that we called who sounds SO KEEN!! We are meeting her sometime this week and we are pumped!! Then had a lesson with Melissa who is another recent convert we teach and I planned and did the whole thing!!! ππ Had a couple other lessons then Marshall made us some dinner and we went and picked it up and we ended up talking to him for like an hour...he has so many crazy stories I wish I had the time to share them all with you.
Saturday: Made some cowboy caviar holy best idea I've ever had genuinely.π€ We had a lesson with Shanita and she is so awesome! Our lessons with her are so spiritual and I can tell she's making progress! She's slowly getting past her self doubts and I'm hopeful she will make it to church!! Shoutout Karly Mcarthur got her MISSION CALL!!! So proud love you girl!! The fam is in florida shoutout sis and my cheer girls at nattys! Big miss ππ
Sunday: Sabbath ππ This little girl we met last Sunday came up to us again. She's obsessed with me and Sister Hunter its so funny. She said "guess what I just found out...that pink and blue are best friends". Then she proceeded to point out every thing that was pink and blue and say "best friends". What a queen πΈ π©·π©΅ We went to the beach to eat lunch after church and its so pretty here wow! Seagull almost attacked me but its chill. We drove to contact some people and drove an extra 30 minutes cause we decided to drive along the coast...so worth it! ππ Also went to the waterfront and had people write on a white board what brought them joy. When we would ask people if they wanted to write something they immediately would smile as they thought about what brought them joy! So precious π₯° A girl in the ward we introduced ourselves to at church texted us to meet and have a lesson cause her son who is 9 isn't baptized!!!! Hopefully we can get ourselves a baptism yayyyy π₯³π₯³π₯³
Anyways being a missionary is so fun!! Its hard work but its seriously so fun! Finding people is kinda hard and half of our referrals either dont answer or decide they actually dont wanna hear our message π« Hopiny to get some more new people π€π€But anyways Im excited to keep getting better and sharing more in the lessons we have! I was talking to my mom and was saying how its frustrating not having a lot of people to teach and how this isn't how I pictured missionary work to be. But she reminded me how Jesus Christ loves "the one". Even if just one person accepts the gospel or listens to our message then we fulfilled our purpose.
I love and miss yall bunches! Hope you all have a great week ππ
