COVID FLASHBACKS 🤧🤧 - 27 January 2026

Hey guys! Last few days in the MTC!!!! CRAZYYYYY! I'm actually so excited I’m ready to get out in the field! But I'm lowk really stressed out cause I did in fact have very overweight luggage on my way here and I'm a little worried about packing and flying to my mish...Hopefully it'll be okay 🙏 🙏 can't really get rid of anything soooo 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

This week was pretty chill just more classes 😴😴 but they are great just getting to the point where you can only be prepared so much and you just have to get out in the field. I'm definitely ready haha! I finished the book of Mormon!!!! And I already restarted it and I'm so excited hahaha!! Literally everyone needs to read it it's the best book and it will bless your life and bring you so much peace as you read. It's such a gift 🥰 

Went to the temple last Wednesday and it was so good! SOOOO peaceful it's amazing!!! So grateful to have had the opportunity to go during my time in the MTC!! 

This week everyone was starting to get sick 😫 half my district was then wearing a mask and so many other people around the MTC were wearing masks genuinely gave me flashbacks from covid. A bunch of signs got put up to remind you to wash your hands and stuff holy ptsd. And I was praying I wouldn't get sick and now I'm super stuffy and have a sore throat so that's awesome! 😀 Just in time for the field yay 😪

There were so many funny moments this week I love my comp and my district I'm actually gonna miss them fr! But there are some elders who's personalities I genuinely just do not mesh with at all and I've been really trying to have patience but I lowkey sometimes just absolutely cannot take it. I forget a lot of them are just very immature 18 year olds hahaha. But it's okay we're almost out 🫠🫠 Theres also been so much drama since day one in another district and it's wild. One kid just got sent home which is kinda sad but crazyyyy.

The weather here is so bipolar. First it’s so windy and then it'll rain and downpour for like 10 minutes then be sunny for like an hour then rain again. Gonna have to get used to it 😅

Sunday me and my comp had the lesson in Relief Society and it was so good! We talked about becoming lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ but we focused on the 2 great commandments, to Love God and Love your neighbor! Wow it was so good we had lots of good discussions! We shared a bit of the talk "Bridging the two great commandments" by Gary E Stevenson and it's so powerful!! It went so good. Definitely clocked myself and need to work on loving my neighbor when it comes to some elders I can't stand 😆😆😆 

That's pretty much all for the week! Yesterday in class we opened with a hymn and a prayer and the hymn someone chose was "God be with us til we meet again." I was trying not to tear up as we sang. Before I left for my mission as a ward we sang that song to the Wayment family after Heather passed. Shout out Easton I love you! But it was so powerful and singing it again it just reminded me that we have so many angels watching over us that are with us! I promise that all of you are never alone! I'm so grateful for the Plan of Salvation and knowing I'll be able to be reunited with my family again!!!
